I am a Canadian architect registered with the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ), with nine years of professional experience across educational, institutional, residential, and public infrastructure projects. My work has taken me through all stages of architectural practice, from early design and competitions to technical development, construction documentation, and contract administration. Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong interest in the relationship between architectural design, emerging technologies, and the thoughtful use of natural materials.
My approach to architecture has been shaped by both my education and the experiences of growing up in a multicultural family and living in different parts of the world. Exposure to different cultures, landscapes, and ways of building has fostered an appreciation for architecture that responds to its place and the people who inhabit it. I believe that design should be simple without being sterile, that buildings should reflect the conditions of their environment, and that good architecture emerges from the careful consideration of both human experience and technical execution.
I completed my Master of Arts in Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where I studied at the Centre for Information Technology and Architecture (CITA). My education explored the intersection of architecture, computation, and digital fabrication, with a particular focus on how emerging technologies could expand the possibilities of timber construction. Living in Denmark also had a lasting influence on my design sensibilities. The simplicity of Nordic architecture, its integration of natural materials, and the attention given to everyday human experiences continue to inform how I approach design.
Since graduating, I have worked at architectural practices in Montreal and Vancouver, contributing to projects of varying scales and complexities. Most recently, as a Project Architect at Public Architecture + Design, I led the SFU Residence Phase 3 project through design development, a significant redesign from concrete to mass timber, construction documentation, and contract administration. I also contributed to the 1010 Expo residential development, with responsibilities spanning consultant coordination, building envelope development, and municipal approvals. Previously, at IBI Group (now Arcadis), I worked on the St. George's Senior School expansion, helping develop and coordinate the complex mass timber structure and architectural detailing of Princeps Hall.
These experiences have reinforced my interest in bridging design ambition with technical resolution. I enjoy the process of working through complex architectural challenges, collaborating with engineers, consultants, fabricators, and contractors to develop solutions that are both thoughtful and buildable. I am particularly interested in mass timber construction and its potential to reshape how we design and deliver buildings, as well as the opportunities that digital technologies offer to improve the relationship between design and fabrication.
Equally important to me is the collaborative nature of architecture. Having worked with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds, I have come to value the diversity of perspectives that shape the design process. I enjoy bringing people together, encouraging discussion, mentoring younger colleagues, and creating an environment where ideas can be challenged and developed collectively.
Ultimately, I aspire to contribute to architecture that is environmentally responsible, rooted in its context, and attentive to the people who use it.
